Shonie Carter (MMA and Kickboxing)
Shonie Carter was born in Chicago, Illinois. He served for six years in the United States Marine Corps before beginning his profession as a fighter. He was an All-American wrestler and participated in the Olympic trials. At Carson-Newman College he began to formally study judo and traditional Japanese jujutsu. Carter has 11 world titles under his belt. His achievements include a World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC) welterweight championship and he is anUltimate Fighting Championship (UFC) veteran. He was also a contestant on The Ultimate Fighter 4 reality show.
Lilia Hristeva (Kickboxing)
Lilia Hristeva started her martial arts career at age 11 training with Master Gary Keller in Hapkido, Mixed Martial Arts, Brazilian Jui-Jitsu, pankration, and Kickboxing. Excelling quickly, she started competing in her teenage years and won many events including first place in the World Pankration Championships at the age of 15. Because she constantly strives to keep her workouts fresh and new, Lilia continues her training with World Champion Shonie Carter. She has been teaching at Keller’s since 2003 and is available for personal training sessions.
Mr. Roger E. Smith (Ji-do Kwan Tae Kwon Do)
Exclusively offered at Keller’s, Ji-Do Kwon Tae Kwon Do is taught by Mr. Smith who is a 6th Degree black belt. He has been a practitioner of this style for more than 36 years and has been competing locally, statewide, nationally, and internationally in Ji-Do Kwon Tae Kwon Do for 25 years. Mr. Smith is a student of one of the most decorated grandmasters in Tae Kwon Do – 9th degree Grandmaster Koang Woong Kim. Mr. Smith invites you to come and join him for fun and fitness at Keller’s Martial Arts. Build speed, agility, flexibility, strength, power, and endurance. Ji-Do Kwon Tae Kwon Do is also great for weight loss and building self-confidence.
Andrew Sanders (Kickboxing and Bootcamp)
Andrew Sanders was born in Chicago, Illinois, and quickly grew to enjoy fitness during his early years. Andrew got involved with weights in high school reached first place in Body Building, Powerlifting, 500 Bench Press, 685 Powerlifting, and 600 Squat. A black belt in Hapkido, Andrew has dedicated half of his life to fitness and martial arts.
Master Israel Munoz (Hapkido)
Master Israel Munoz has studied and practiced martial arts since 1980. Like most martial artists, Master Munoz was drawn to the discipline as a child. He began his training at the age of 17 in Hapkido under Master Hyun B. Hu and practiced the art for the next 13 years. He moved up to the level of instructor rapidly. He continued his training under Master Keller and is currently a fifth degree black belt. Master Munoz has been teaching at Keller’s for 10 years.
Myrna Morales (Zumba)

Juan Ortiz (Zumba)
Group Exercise instructor for the past five years, Juan Ortiz teaches Zumba, Zumbatomic, Zumba Sentao, Spin, Kickboxing, Aqua, Six Pack Attack, Muscle Max, and other forms of exercise. Creator of his own exercise program called Feevha, he is best described by a costumer: “Combine the most fun Zumba and Hip-Hop Cardio class with the best DJ and press FFWD and that’s what Feevha is like. SO. MUCH. FUN.”
Regis Tribbet (Tae Kwon Do)
From a young age, Mr. Tribbet studied martial arts, starting his journey in Tae Kwon Do under Grandmaster Perry, an 8th Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do, 5th Degree Black Belt in Hapkido, and a 4th Degree Black Belt in Gumdo. On his path to Black Belt, Mr. Tribbet excelled as a exceptional student. He mastered techniques early and was the only student to be double promoted, meaning he was able to entirely skip a belt due of his proﬁciency. Here in Chicago, he has studied Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under a Gracie, the family that created Jiu Jitsu. He has recently expanded into Judo, Boxing and Muay Thai. He now combines his broad variety of skills to compete in Mixed Martial Arts.
