Shonie Carter (MMA and Kickboxing)

Carter was born in Chicago, Illinois. He served for six years in the United States Marine Corps before beginning his profession as a fighter. He was an All-American wrestler and participated in the Olympic trials. At Carson-Newman College he began to formally study judo and traditional Japanese jujutsu. Carter has put 11 world titles under his belt including; World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC) welterweight champion, an Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) veteran, and a contestant on The Ultimate Fighter 4 reality show.

Lilia Hristeva (Kickboxing)

Lilia Hristeva started her martial art career at age 11, training with Master Gary Keller in Hapkido, Mixed Martial Arts, Brazilian Jui-Jitsu, pankration and Kickboxing. Excelling fast she began to compete in her teenage years, winning many, including 1st place Chicago winner of the World Pankration Championships at the age of 15. Lilia continues her training constantly, including with World Champion Shonie Carter, as she interested in keeping her workouts fresh and new. She has been teaching at Keller’s since 2003 and is available for personal training sessions.

Mr. Roger E. Smith (ji-do kwan tae kwon do)

Exclusivley at Keller’s, Ji-Do Kwon Tae Kwon Do, taught by Mr. Smith who is a 6th Degree black belt. He has been a practitioner of this style for over 36 years, as well as competing in this style for 25 years., locally, statewide, nationally and internationally. Mr. Smith is a student of one of the most decorated grandmasters in Tae Kwon Do 9th degree Grandmaster Koang Woong Kim. So come and join us for some fun and fitess at Keller’s Martial Arts. Build some speed, agility, flexability, strenght, power, and endurance. Also, great for weight loss and building self-confidence.

Andrew Sanders (Kickboxing and Bootcamp)

Andrew Sanders was born in Chicago, Illinois and quickly grew up to enjoy fitness. Andrew got involved with weights in high school rising to first place Body Building, Powerlifting, 500 Bench Press, 685 Powerlifting, 600 Squat. He is also a black belt in Hapkido, Andrew has dedicated half of his life to fitness and martial arts.

Master Israel Munoz (Hapkido)

Master Israel Munoz has studied and practiced martial arts since 1980. Like most martial artists Master Munoz was drawn to the martial arts as a child. He began his training at the age of 17, in Hapkido under Master Hyun B. Hu for the next 13 years, and moved up to instructor very fast. He continued his training under Master Keller and is currently a fifth degree black belt. Master Munoz has been teaching at Keller’s for 10 years.

Myrna Morales (Zumba)

“I am a natural dancer and I truly love to dance!!! Ever since, I was introduced to music. Specially Latin music, I have to get up and move what my  momma gave me. I have been an enthusiastic ZUMBA Fitness instructor for three years. I have gained my experience through teaching and also learning through lots of talented ZUMBA instructors. I believe that I am a combination of all the great talent I’ve been around!!!! Come and try a ZUMBA class with me you are sure to enjoy the time and will not even know you are actually excising. Remember ZUMBA is a party!!”

Juan Ortiz (Zumba)

Group Exercise instructor for the past 5 years teaching Zumba, Zumbatomic, Zumba Sentao, Spin, Kickboxing, Aqua, Six Pack Attack, Muscle Max, and other forms of exercise. Creator of his own exercise program called Feevha, best described by a costumer: “Combine the most fun Zumba and Hip-Hop Cardio class with the best DJ and press FFWD and that’s what Feevha is like. SO. MUCH. FUN.”

Regis Tribbet (Tae Kwon Do)

Since a young age Mr. Tribbet has been studying martial arts, starting his journey in Tae Kwon Do under Grandmaster Perry an 8th Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do, 5th Degree Black Belt in Hapkido, and a 4th Degree Black Belt in Gumdo. On his path to Black Belt Mr. Tribbet always excelled as a dedicated and exceptional student. He mastered techniques and was the only student to be double promoted meaning entirely skipping a belt because of his proficiency.

On his way to Black Belt, he began wrestling. In his first year of high school wrestling, he made it Fresh/Soph State. He now wrestles at the University of Chicago. In Chicago, he has studied Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under a Gracie which is family who created Jiu Jitsu. He has recently expanded into Judo, Boxing and Muay Thai. He now combining his broad variety of skills to compete in Mixed Martial Arts.
